In the early hours of September 22, 2024, at approximately 5:00 am, the State Highway Police were informed about an accident that occurred on PR-090, at Km 348 + 100 meters, in the municipality of Assaí, PR. The accident involved two vehicles: a Toyota Hilux, with plates registered in Santa Cecília do Pavão - PR, and a VW Gol, with plates from Londrina - PR.
According to the report of the driver of the Hilux, 31 years old, who was unharmed, he was traveling on the highway in the direction of BR-369 to Assaí, when he collided with the rear of the VW Gol, also driven by a 31-year-old man, who suffered injuries. The impact caused the VW Gol to be thrown against a ravine on the right of the road, resulting in a rollover.
The conditions at the site included good weather, a straight single track with no lighting, and a downhill stretch, which may have contributed to the accident.
