On the morning of this Saturday (29), at around 7:24 am, the Military Police team was called to attend the hospital in Nova Fátima, after information that three people had been involved in a traffic accident on Highway PR-160 and were receiving medical attention.
According to the report received, there was a disturbance at the scene, motivated by the seriousness of the victims' condition. Upon arriving at the hospital, the police were informed that one of the car's occupants had succumbed to their injuries and died while being treated by the SAMU (Mobile Emergency Care Service) team.
The police remained at the hospital until the arrival of the State Highway Patrol Battalion team, responsible for taking over the procedures related to the traffic incident.
The circumstances of the accident are still being investigated by the competent authorities. The event has caused shock among family members and residents of the region, who are awaiting more official information about the causes of the tragedy.
