Seven months after leaving the "old war MDB", Roberto Requião confirmed this Sunday (13) that he will join the PT (Workers' Party) as of next Friday, the official date of his affiliation. The announcement was made on his official Twitter account.

Behind the scenes, Lula's friendship and endorsement for the candidacy weighed. The former governor and former senator even "dated" other left and center-left parties, such as the PDT and PSOL, but the negotiations did not advance.

In the nearly three-minute video, Requião mentioned what led him to return to the state dispute. "The price of gasoline is a scandal, the tariffs for water and energy in Paraná are strictly absurd and the toll will come back with 15 more plazas. We have to react", he declared.
