A baby, only 9 months old, was found dead in the family home, in Marilândia do Sul, in the north of Paraná. The Military Police (PM) was called this Friday morning (28).
Health professionals from the municipality went to the residence, on Rua Ângelo Farconde Filho, in the Conquista neighborhood, however, the little boy was already dead. At first, the child was on the couch in the house and dead for more than two hours.
The baby lived with his mother and two brothers, two children aged 7 and 5 years old. The mother claimed to the police that her son died of choking, however, the police do not rule out the possibility that the child was the victim of a crime.
The Legal Medical Institute (IML) of Apucarana was called to collect the baby's body and will determine the cause of death. The child's mother, according to the police, was a drug user and she was taken to the police station.
Witnesses said that residents of the neighborhood were unhappy with the news of the child's death.
