The Municipal Health Authority of Apucarana registered a police report of a crime against public property committed in the early hours of this Thursday (12). The criminals stole the 4 wheels and tires of a vehicle that was parked in the yard of the new UBS (Basic Health Unit) Joaquim Trizotti, in the Adriano Correia Housing Center.
According to the Superintendent of Primary Care, Odarlone Orente, the vehicle is used by health teams for home visits. “Many people need to receive care in their homes, such as in the case of dressings and vaccinations for elderly people who have difficulty moving around. The vehicle is very useful and complements the scope of services provided by health services in that region,” says Odarlone.
Mayor Junior da Femac regrets and condemns this type of action, especially in the health sector, which provides an essential service to the population. “We ask the population to help us protect public buildings and equipment, thus preventing the provision of services from being harmed,” appeals the mayor.
Images from security cameras in homes neighboring UBS Joaquim Trizotti will be analyzed to possibly identify the criminals.
