Between Cornélio Procópio and Santa Mariana, on the morning of Monday, June 9, 2025, a serious accident was recorded around 7:40 am on BR-369, at kilometer 85, the stretch that connects the municipalities of Santa Mariana and Cornélio Procópio, in northern Paraná.
According to reports, a black Renault Sandero, with license plates from Santa Mariana, was traveling towards Cornélio Procópio when, for reasons still unknown, the driver lost control. The car left the road and overturned in a wooded area beside the highway.
There were two people in the vehicle, a couple living in Santa Mariana. The woman, a passenger, suffered moderate injuries and was assisted by the SAMU (Mobile Emergency Care Service) team, being taken to the Santa Casa de Cornélio Procópio hospital. Her condition is not life-threatening. The driver, her husband, was unharmed and did not require hospital treatment.
