In Londrina, last Wednesday (23), a man was fined R$ 229,500.00 through a complaint to the Green Force Environmental Police Battalion, for mistreatment of birds that were in captivity.
In his residence, the man had 114 birds trapped in 98 cages, in a situation of mistreatment. Among the animals, the team found native and endangered species.
The owner did not have authorization from the competent environmental agency and in view of the facts, the birds were seized and handed over to the IAT (Water and Land Institute) of Londrina and the fine was imposed.
