The crime took place on Thursday morning (23) in Santo Antônio da Platina, in the northern region of Paraná.
A 49-year-old woman was killed with several knife blows by her 54-year-old ex-husband, at the residence where he lived in the District of Conselheiro Zacarias in the rural area of the city.
After killing his ex-wife, the killer tried to take his own life.
When the PM arrived at the scene, around 08:00, the perpetrator was inside the residence and next to him was a note talking about the crime.
The man was rescued and shortly afterwards transferred in serious condition to the University Hospital in Londrina.
In February of this year, the victim went to the police to report that she had been threatened with a knife by her ex-spouse and asked for protective measures, but did not want to file a criminal complaint against him.
The Police believe that the crime is due to the non-acceptance of the separation by the author.
After the forensic work, the body was removed and taken to the Instituto Médico-Legal in Jacarezinho.
