A 75-year-old gentleman, who worked at the DER for 45 years, lost his life this Thursday afternoon, the 15th, in an accident on the PR-090, in the municipality of Nova Santa Barbara.
According to information, this gentleman who is a resident of the city of Ibaiti, was an inspector for a company that was resurfacing the highway, next to a Compressor Roller and according to witnesses, he would have lost his balance, next to the machine, with the rolling of the same, passed over his head.
Unfortunately, the victim died at the scene.
