Londrina beat Athletico 1-0 this Sunday (13), at the Café stadium, and opened up an advantage in the quarterfinals of the Paranaense Championship. The Alviceleste goal was scored by Eltinho, nine minutes into the first half. The match marked the debut of coach Adilson Batista in charge of Tubarão.
With the victory, the LEC will play for a tie in the second match, on Sunday (20), at the Arena da Baixada. Athletico need to win by two goals to advance to the semifinals. In case of a red-black triumph by a goal, the dispute goes to penalties. For Londrina, qualifying for the semifinals is also worth a place in the Copa do Brasil next year.
