A 19-year-old mother reportedly gave birth to her son and stabbed him with a knife on Monday (11/28), according to information from the Military Police. The case occurred in Tubarão, in the south of Santa Catarina . The child was taken to the hospital, but could not resist the injuries.
According to the PM, the suspect gave birth in the home bathroom and then stabbed the baby. According to investigations, the motivation for the crime would be linked to the disapproval of the family and the fact that the author believed she would not be able to take care of the child.
