In Nova América da Colina, on Saturday (23), around 3 pm, a 28-year-old man appeared at the Military Police Detachment reporting the disappearance of his mother-in-law, aged 51, which occurred on Friday. What would be just a search ended in mourning when, at 2 pm on Saturday, he found the woman's body in the Congonhas River, in a rural area known as "Ponte Preta".
Upon arriving at the scene, the police team found the woman's body submerged in the river. The Civil Police and the Legal Medical Institute (IML) were immediately called to take the appropriate steps. The cause of death is still under investigation, but the case has already raised questions and is causing concern among local residents.
