On the afternoon of this Friday (03), around 1:07 pm, the Military Police responded to a domestic violence incident on Rua Almiro José da Silva, in Bandeirantes.
The team was called by SAMU (Mobile Emergency Care Service) after a 29-year-old woman was admitted to the Municipal Emergency Room unconscious, a victim of assault.
In her statement to the police, after regaining consciousness, the victim reported that she had an argument with her partner and, during the disagreement, he began to strangle her, knocking her to the ground and squeezing her neck.
According to the woman, while trying to break free to grab her cell phone, she was surprised by a chokehold known as a "mata-leão," causing her to faint.
Based on the information, the police team went to the couple's residence, where they located the perpetrator. The man was arrested on the spot and taken to the Civil Police Station, where he will be held accountable for the events.
