In the early hours of Saturday to Sunday, the Military Police team was called to respond to a report of arson on Niterói Street, in the municipality of Assaí.
According to the complainant, his former partner allegedly started a fire at the property. The man reported that he is in a relationship with another woman and that, after an argument, he began receiving death threats from his former partner, who refused to leave the residence, which belonged to the complainant.
According to the report, the perpetrator stated that she had set fire to some objects and intended to set fire to the victim's workshop, located at the back of the property.
Upon arriving at the address, the police team found that a fire had started, which was quickly contained, preventing further damage.
The perpetrator was located inside the residence, at which point she was breaking objects and began to disobey and resist police action. After intervention by the team, she was subdued and taken to the Civil Police Station for the appropriate legal procedures.
The case was presented to the police authority, which will be responsible for investigating the facts and taking the measures provided for by law.
