ASSAÍ: CLAIMS HANDLING
Around midday on Wednesday, the police team was called to attend to a traffic accident on Niterói Street. At the scene, it was verified that it was a collision involving a Fiat Palio and a Honda GC Titan motorcycle, and that the motorcyclist was already deceased, as confirmed by SAMU (Emergency Medical Service). When questioned about the incident, the car driver stated that he was driving down Niterói Street when, while making a left turn, the motorcyclist attempted to overtake, resulting in a head-on/side collision. Given the circumstances, the incident was reported to the Civil Police, who instructed the release of the vehicles, and subsequently the IML (Forensic Medical Institute) arrived to carry out the necessary procedures. It was noted that both the drivers and vehicles had proper documentation.
CORNÉLIO PROCÓPIO: EXECUTION OF ARREST WARRANT
On Wednesday afternoon, the PM ROTAM team successfully arrested a man on Minas Gerais Street, in the Congonhas District, against whom there was an arrest warrant issued by the Uraí District Court. The man was taken to the Santa Casa de Cornélio Procópio hospital for a medical examination to document any bodily injuries and then transferred to the Cornélio Procópio prison.
CORNELIUS PROCOPIUS: RESISTANCE
The PM ROTAM team was patrolling the Florêncio Rebolho neighborhood when, near Rua Francisco Orlando Atizano, they spotted a white VW Saveiro traveling at a speed seemingly incompatible with the road. They attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver tried to evade them, making a sudden maneuver and turning onto the sidewalk. A pursuit ensued until the vehicle was stopped on Rua Alcino Benigno da Silva. At that point, even after disobeying the order to stop, the driver continued to resist police orders, attempting to evade a personal search. Therefore, it was necessary to use handcuffs, and he was subsequently taken into custody for disobedience and resisting arrest. After the police report was filed, he was duly released.
