The Secretary of Health of Paraná confirmed this Sunday (3) the first case of monkeypox in the state. He is a 31-year-old man, resident of Curitiba , with a travel history to São Paulo between the 16th and 18th of June. According to the state government, two other suspected cases of the disease, in Londrina and Cascavel, are still under investigation. .

Until now, Brazil has 77 confirmed cases of monkeypox. São Paulo (52), Rio Grande do Sul (2), Rio de Janeiro (16), Minas Gerais (2), Ceará (2), Federal District (1), Paraná (1) and Rio Grande do Norte (1) reported cases of the disease.
