On Tuesday night (20) the Highway Police seized 521 kilos of marijuana while being patrolled on PR-323, near KM 24, in Sertanópolis. The drug was on a bus with a São Paulo-SP license plate.
The team decided to approach the vehicle that had all the windows with dark film, making it impossible to see. At first, the bus was empty and the driver said he left Foz do Iguaçu and headed towards São Paulo, where he would pick up the passengers, but the police found a false bottom on the bus, next to the bathroom.
With the help of the Fire Department, the compartment was opened and the 521 kilos of marijuana were found with 10 cigarette boxes, approximately five thousand packs. The police also seized R$800.00 and under arrest, sent the driver to the police station.
