SÃO SEBASTIÃO DA AMOREIRA: At 1:30 p.m., the PM team was called to the municipal hospital, where a 48-year-old woman had been treated after being attacked by a white Pitbull with black spots. The victim told the police that she only knew the nickname of the dog's possible owner.
After receiving instructions on the appropriate procedures, the woman remained under observation in the hospital due to the injuries caused by the attack. The police team carried out investigations to locate the animal and identify its owner, but so far, they have not been successful in their search. The investigation is still ongoing. According to Federal Law No. 9,605/98, known as the Environmental Crimes Law, it is the responsibility of owners to ensure that their animals do not roam freely on public roads, thus preventing risks to public safety. The legislation provides for sanctions for owners who leave their animals loose, especially if they cause harm to third parties. The PM team advises the public to report any similar situation so that legal action can be taken.
