The PCPR (Civil Police of Paraná) arrested the municipal secretary of Works and Transport of Ortigueira (North), Arysson Moraes Mattos, for passive corruption. The action took place this Thursday (24), in the central region of the city. Mattos is the son of the mayor, Ary Mattos (DEM).
He was arrested while receiving R$5,000 from a local businessman. According to the investigations, the secretary extorted merchants and businessmen from Ortigueira so that they would provide a value for the release of permits and documents.
The PCPR received the complaint from the MP (Public Ministry) of Paraná and started the steps to establish the dynamics of the fact. At the time of the arrest, the police also seized the money received.
