A 7-year-old boy died after being shot from a BB gun, fired by a 13-year-old teenager, while playing. The case was registered on Saturday afternoon (4), in Guarapuava, Paraná. According to the Civil Police, the shooting was initially accidental.
The owner of the 5.5 caliber weapon, a 45-year-old man, was taken to the police station, interviewed and released. The Civil Police are awaiting reports and expertise that should help clarify the situation. To the PM, he reported that the teenager believed the gun was locked, pointed it at the child, who was on top of a wall, and fired. The shot hit the boy in the chest, and he fell unconscious. The teenager was also interviewed at the police station, and confirmed the report.
According to the Military Police, the team was called after the shot child was admitted to an Emergency Care Unit. The boy, however, did not survive his injuries. The family relationship between those involved is being investigated by the Civil Police.
