The singer Preta Gil announced, on Tuesday night (10/1), that she was diagnosed with bowel cancer. Gilberto Gil's daughter has been hospitalized for six days at Clínica São Vicente, in Rio de Janeiro (RJ).
“Today I received a definitive diagnosis. I have an adenocarcinoma in the final portion of the intestine,” wrote Preta.
The singer said she will start treatment next Monday (16/1). “I count on everyone's energy to remain calm and confident”, he concluded.
Adenocarcinomas are malignant tumors that can develop in epithelial glands in different parts of the body.
Last Sunday (1/8), the businesswoman spoke for the first time about her hospitalization on social media. “I ended up here because of abdominal pain, and since then, we've been doing a series of exams to find out exactly my diagnosis”, he explained.
