An accident involving a car and a motorcycle left two people in serious condition in Assaí, in the Metropolitan Region of Londrina. The accident happened this Sunday (16) at kilometer 340 of PR-090.
According to information from PRE (State Highway Police), a car was traveling from Assaí towards the municipality of São Sebastião da Amoreira when it collided with the side of a motorcycle - which was going in the opposite direction.
The driver of the car was uninjured; the driver and passenger of the motorcycle suffered serious injuries and were taken to hospitals in the region.
After being involved in the accident, which happened around 7:30 pm, the driver of the vehicle (Chevrolet Classic), aged 31, fled the scene without providing help.
However, according to PRE, a Rotam team from the 18th BPM managed to approach the man on the same highway. The breathalyzer recorded alcohol consumption of 1.10 mg/L, which constitutes a traffic crime.
The driver was forwarded to the Assaí Civil Police Station, which confirmed that he was still arrested this Monday morning (17).
