A baby died in a traffic accident on the PR-471 between the cities of Catanduvas and Três Barras do Paraná. The child was the occupant of a vehicle belonging to the Department of Health in Quedas do Iguaçu.
The car was returning from the city of Cascavel, with five occupants; the driver, three women and a baby, when the accident happened. The information is that an unidentified car tried to access a rural road and ended up “closing” the driver, who lost control of the steering and hit a tree.
Rescuers were triggered and provided assistance to those involved. Consamu's helicopter was activated to transfer the baby, who did not resist. Our team tried to contact the Municipality of Quedas, but until the closure of the matter there was no response.
