President Jair Bolsonaro decided to dismiss the current president of Petrobras, Army General Joaquim Silva e Luna. The information was confirmed by sources at the Planalto Palace. The announcement should still be made this Monday (28). The change of command takes place amid the escalation in the price of oil in the world and, with it, the fuel sold by Petrobras in Brazil, which has bothered Bolsonaro and has been targeted of criticism from the President of the Republic .

It is the second time that Bolsonaro has changed the leadership of the state-owned company in his mandate. In February last year, he had already fired the then CEO Roberto Castello Branco, also at a time when price pressures at the gas stations inflamed truck drivers' movements and harmed his popularity with consumers.
