On a rainy day, federal highways record serious accidents in the region

Two serious accidents occurred on federal highways in the region of Londrina this rainy Thursday (18). In the morning, around 9:40 am, a driver who was traveling along the BR 369, heading for Cornélio Procópio, lost control of the vehicle when he passed through a stretch of water on the road and aquaplaned, crashing violently against a tree. The driver was taken to an area hospital.

Around 12:00 am, at km 323 of BR 376, in Ortigueira, a Scania truck left the road when the driver lost control of the steering, went in the opposite direction and fell off the road. The driver was rescued by Samu (Mobile Emergency Service) and by the Fire Department, but died at the scene. The accident will be investigated by the Civil Police.
