The court ordered the removal of the mayor of Bom Sucesso for a period of 90 days, on suspicion of embezzlement. The decision responds to a public civil action based on an investigation by the Public Prosecutor's Office that demonstrated the possible participation of the mayor in a scheme to divert public resources from a bidding process carried out in 2017.
According to the findings of the 1st Public Prosecutor's Office of Jandaia do Sul, almost 100 thousand reais were diverted from the resources of the Executive and Legislative, from the hiring of an information technology company.
In addition to the 90-day removal, the decision provides for a ban on the mayor's access to the City Hall and City Hall and a ban on contact with other people involved in the process, under penalty of a fine of R$ 50,000.
