An 18-year-old driver died when the car he was driving collided with a tree on Wednesday morning (7) on PR-518 in Santa Amélia (Norte Pioneiro).
According to PRE (State Highway Police), the accident occurred around 10 am, at km 6 of the highway. The Ford Ka was heading towards the junction of the PR-436 access to the municipality of Santa Amélia when the boy, who was alone, lost control of the car's steering wheel, and collided with two trees on the right bank of the highway.
The victim could not resist the injuries and died at the scene. The young man, whose name has not been released, had his body taken to the IML (Legal Medical Institute) in Jacarezinho (Norte Pioneiro).
The Civil Police, Fire Department, IML and Criminal Experts also responded to the incident. The weather was rainy, and the situation took place on a single track.
