The PCPR (Civil Police of Paraná) carried out, this Thursday morning (23), 12 search and seizure warrants against a gang accused of corruption and fraud in bids in the municipality of Faxinal, in northern Paraná.
More than 40 police officers are taking part in the operation, which is taking place simultaneously in the city and in Cruzmaltina, in the same region.
PCPR investigates an alleged corruption scheme linked to a councilor and municipal servants, suspected of receiving amounts from a service provider in 2021 and 2022.
According to the investigations, the payments took place during the execution of the contracts by the investigated company. There are confirmations of bank transfers in server and councilor accounts.
The undue advantages were the result of facilitating the hiring carried out.
The PCPR also investigated a possible subtraction scheme for part of salaries in the Faxinal City Council. The crime would be committed by the former president and former advisers.
