An official car belonging to the Boa Vista da Aparecida City Hall, in western Paraná, was involved in a fatal accident on the PR-484 highway, between the municipalities of Quedas do Iguaçu and Três Barras. The vehicle, a Chevrolet Cruze, hit the back of a motorcycle that was traveling in the same direction. The impact caused the motorcycle driver to fall to the ground and die at the scene.
